Job Description

We’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist who will lead our online storytelling and community engagement efforts. In this role, you’ll develop and execute social media strategies to build OAE’s global presence, drive course enrolment, and amplify our mission to transform education.  

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement multi-platform social media strategies to grow audience reach and brand recognition.
  • Create compelling written, visual, and video content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Plan and manage content calendars and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor and respond to messages and comments, fostering positive community engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, admissions, academics) to align messaging with strategic goals.
  • Analyse performance metrics and use data to refine content and engagement tactics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, algorithm changes, and new digital tools.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and recommend opportunities for brand innovation.
  • Participate in content brainstorming and campaign planning sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts and campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite).
  • Experience using design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite) and basic video editing.
  • Knowledge of SEO, email marketing, and basic website analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Creative thinker, self-starter, and a collaborative team player.
